It's a shame to see a product with so much potential die
from lack of attention and development.
Alex visits if the mood strike him, but does not even see fit to answer posts
or to post product news.
Time to move on.

What is the status of updates? "xStarter is still developing, but not so fast as before. Main role of next version 1.9.4 is to support Windows 7/2008. There are still exist some actions that not working correctly there. I think maybe I will disable this actions and make release in February, 2012." b...

Re: External executable task to see if xStarter is running?
Why not just Settings / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services then click on
xStarter then goto Recovery Tab. There you can have the xStarter Service restart on
failures. Set reset fail count after 1 day.

Re: Xstarter service is not lnstalled
Look in C:\Program Files\xStarter (or xStarterWP)
There is a program xPrefs.exe, run it and Run as Service option is on first page.

Re: On error action
Sounds like a need for a "Task Completion Tab". Task exit status and what to do on exit codes.
Not just send e-mail, but reschedule, rerun, disable, change task parameters, etc.

Request
Since my suggestion(s) never got an answer I would like to request the following.
Pass string parameters to a task and have the Exit task action have optional string exit code.
Thank you.
This would of course make writing functions and subtasks easier.

Re: Collapse view for logs and actions
I use version 1.9.4.43. "Last 2 days" really on gives last 24 hours. And if you have a lot a log entries for debugging can still be to big and you still have to collapse log to make sense of it. When debugging done I turn of logging anyway as all it does is eat up disk space. Turning off detailed lo...

Collapse view for logs and actions
Sometime view of logs and action can be very long.
A right mouse click option to "collapse all" would be nice.
