Sync folders - Access denied with scheduled task

Post by Nols Smit » Thu Nov 26, 2009 11:41 am

Hi,

I'm usung version FBIB 1.9.3.85

I works fine when I activate the task manually but I get "access denied" when it is activated by the scheduler.

My parameters to sync a folder on my PC to a remote backup server on the LAN are:

Source dir: D:\Backups\
Target dir: \\172.16.7.30\nols\Backups\
All the other options are on default.

Regards,

Nols Smit

Hello,

xStarter consist of two parts: service app and UI app. UI app working with current user privileges and service app work with LOCAL_SYSTEM privileges in case if NT service mode enabled. LOCAL_SYSTEM in most cases have not access to network files/folders. Please, try to setup from that user to launch this task at page Additional.

I have tried everything to get it to work for me, no success :(

I have a readynas duo and try to sync. No difference if I runt xstarter as program or service. I tried filled in readynas-user and other users in the Additional / New Process-tab, but nothing works.

Access denied all times. Had hope I could skip my other sync-program (smartsync pro) and just use this. I hope for a solution.
